General Information

• The course is very flat and fast.

• All miles are marked.  A clock will be at the 1/2 way point of the 10K.

• Live DJ

• Champion Chip timing provided by Gault Race Management

• Plenty of post-race refreshments

• There will be a $4 fee to enter the park unless you have a Metro Park sticker.

• Please arrive early to prevent any delays at the gate.

• Kids' Dash...................................8:30 AM

• 5K Run/Walk (Men & Women together)...9:00 AM

• 10K Run .....................................10:00 AM

Registration

• You may register in person at either Tortoise and Hare location (during business hours) any day up to and
  including November 10th.

• Race day registration will be available on site beginning at 7:00am.

• Mail in entries to "Tortoise and Hare Events"; 209 E. Liberty; Ann Arbor, MI 48104

• Printable entry forms are available

• Mail-in entries must be postmarked by November 1st, 2006.

• Credit card entries can be faxed to 734-623-9638 any day until November 12th at 5:00 PM.

• Saturday, November 10th: Race Expo and Packet Pick-Up at Tortoise and Hare on Plymouth Rd. during
  business hours

• Race day registration/packet pick-up at race site:
  5K Run/Walk & Iron Turkey Classic registration from 7:30 to 8:45 AM
  10K Run & Kids' Dash registration from 7:30 to 9:45 AM

Team Competition

• 3 member teams

• Any age or gender may be entered

• Cumulative times determine the winner

• All entrants forms must be turned in together totaling 4 entries (3 individual, 1 team)

• Online registration available

Entry Fees

• 5K Run/Walk...................$25 Early (Before Nov. 8th, 2008)
                                      $35 Race day

• 10K Run.........................$25 Early
                                      $35 After Nov. 10th

• Iron Turkey (5K and 10K)...$40 Early
                                      $50 Race day

• Kids' Dash.......................$10

• Team Competition..........$90 (Includes all individual entries)
                                       No race day team registration

• Entry fees are not refundable or transferable

5K/10K Awards

• For each race, special awards will be given to winners of the following categories: Open (men/women all ages); Masters (men/women 40+); Grand Masters (men/women 50+); Clydesdale (men 200+ lbs/women 160+ lbs)

• Age division awards three deep in the following categories: 14 & under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75+

Iron Turkey Classic (5K and 10K)

• The first place winner for both Open and Masters (men/women) will receive special awards. 

• Winners determined by fastest combined times of the 5K and 10K.

Kid's Dash

• 8:30 AM

• Age Divisions (boys/girls): 4 & Under; 5-6; 7-8; 9-10

• Top three boys/girls in each age division receive trophies

• All other participants receive medals

• Distances: Boys/Girls ages 1-6 run 200 meters, Boys/Girls ages 7-10 run 1200 meters
